A choir for the Divine Liturgy
We sing the complete Divine Liturgy, at patronal feasts, consecrations and Te Deum services. It is the service that demands most of a choir, and the one where the difference between trained artists and occasional singers is clearest.
How many artists
For the Liturgy we recommend at least six artists, and eight for a patronal feast. The Cherubic Hymn and the Axion need support on every part.
How long
The Liturgy lasts around two hours; longer at a patronal feast, depending on the number of clergy.
Telling the parish
Tell the priest in good time that a choir is coming. We take the place of the parish cantor for the whole Liturgy.
Ensemble sizes
We usually sing as a quintet. The number of artists depends on the acoustics of the church.
Quartet · 4 artists
The smallest formation that still gives a balanced choral sound. Chapels and small churches.

Our usual formation. It fills a medium-sized church comfortably, with no amplification.
Sextet · 6 artists
For churches with a large volume, or when a separate solo moment is wanted.
Octet · 8 artists
Two artists on each part. Cathedrals, long-reverberation churches, patronal feasts.
Larger formations are available on request.
